Philosophy
Dr. Rosenbaum believes the body has a wisdom and a power all its own and, if encouraged and supported, can heal itself. This lesson was brought home to him through personal experience.
Years ago, the stress of a demanding medical practice caught up with Dr. Rosenbaum; he was often physically exhausted, and even normal mental processes sometimes seemed an uphill battle. Today, we would have called the condition "burnout."
To find a way to help heal myself, Dr. Rosenbaum began reading voraciously in the field of nutritional medicine and he began a series of profound changes in his diet and supplement routine. He experienced a breakthrough as he steadily improved; he had more energy, his strength returned, his digestive disturbances disappeared and he looked better and better.
Dr. Rosenbaum began to see health and medicine in a totally different way and he began to feel better about himself and about the possibilities for helping people by practicing a different kind of medicine.
His personal experience convinced him that nutrition could play a critical role in healing and after that, it was the only way he could practice medicine. Although he does recommend drugs and surgery when necessary, Dr. Rosenbaum says he never knew the real meaning of healing until he started practicing Nutritional Medicine. Over the years, more and more has been learned about how specific nutrients can help us grow stronger and healthier and there are now wonderful supplements available that were unimaginable even just a decade ago.
