It should really come as no surprise, but Al Gore can officially add perhaps the highest honor to his accolade shelf. While the rumor mill has been running rampant, the official announcement was finally made. According to the article:
"I am deeply honored to receive the Nobel Peace Prize," Gore said in a statement. "We face a true planetary emergency. The climate crisis is not a political issue, it is a moral and spiritual challenge to all of humanity."
