"LEED stands for Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design. It’s a standard that was developed by a non-profit called the US Green Building Council. It’s become a very widespread standard that is used now internationally because it looks at things like site selection, water use, energy conservation, indoor environmental quality. And really it is helping the industry figure out what’s a baseline, what’s framework that we can adopt where everybody understands how to make buildings more environmentally friendly?"
