All this concern about organic food and where it comes from. The best way to ensure your food quality and where it comes from, is to grow your own, in your own garden.
I am of Italian decent, so I love my weekly 'sauce'. My fiance makes pasta and homemade tomato sauce. We don't always have our own tomatoes, but we do supply the basil, parsley, and other herbs from our own garden. The tomatoes come from our garden when available, otherwise we use crushed tomatoes from the can.
The smell of fresh basil from our garden is like no other, and I'd swear it adds to the flavor of the sauce over store-bought. The best part? I don't use any insecticides, and the feeling of knowing it came from my own back yard just adds to the experience.
