By Paige | Jun. 28, 2007 | 3 Comments|post a comment

Happy Valentines and Congratulations everyone! You have offically completed the Ultimate Meal Challenge. I hope you all gained something from this experience whether it be a new start to a healthy lifestyle, a glow to your skin (which rumor has it alot of you have) or at the very least, more water in your day:-) I am so appreciative of you each taking the time to experiment with this and I will contact you each individually to get your feedback (good and bad). If nothing else, at least you will be free from my morning emails:-) Continue to be healthy and happy! Best - paigedavis

thanks team!

Although I have not been diligent about the daily emails, I have been consistent about the start of my day. Yesterday I was soo concerned about missing a day that I packed my 3 servings of Ulti-mix in a Ziploc for the road. I’m glad I didn’t have to answer any questions at the airport security check-point about the mysterious powder in my carry-on. But seriously I was proud of my own commitment. There are 2 more interesting side effects to note: I have for the last ten days been less susceptible to my urges for coffee in the morning! Wed morning was the only day out of the last 10 that I drank a cup and it was because I got up at 4:45 for an early flight. There was even a twinge of guilt. For someone who is used to at least every other day starting with a cup at work, this is huge. Many of you have noted that the activity of drinking the Ultimate Meal in the morning has produced a subtle reminder to be disciplined about a healthier regiment, and this is soo true for my personal experience. I also think that there’s a huge correlation between the combo of kicking the regular caffeine fix and a heaping daily dose of goodness, and lately more vivid REM sleep. I’m really not sure which had more effect, but I have definitely been having more surrealistic and vivid dreams. Lastly, not only have I been inspired and amused by the groups’ frequent feedback, but by virtue of having shared expectations I felt somewhat accountable to all of you. Thank-you all, especially Paige whose wit and radiance I will miss being in my Inbox!

inspire

Just a quick note to say, it's been a gas... I am quite confident that I would not have made it through if it were not for our fearless leader. Every day, beyond the soul sparks and lighten up tips, she coached me through sleeping issues, hunger pangs, and yes - I can now say it out loud, hemorrhoids. You are my inspiration.

Thanks Paige!

Team Ultimate, Thanks so much for taking the challenge with me, and for Paige, the wonderful facilitator whose soul sparks, intentions, and fantastic examples of incorporating healthy decisions everyday has been so helpful and fun! The challenge has made me think more about what to eat in the morning, and has also helped to take inventory of the food decisions I've made during the day, taking note to energy levels and sleep. I'm going to try a little longer on the challenge and see if any additional benefits and/or not so good things happen. This morning I didn't have anymore banana's, so I added some frozen raspberries along with the apple and blueberries. I got hungrier earlier, so looks like the banana helps with energy and cravings, which I'm actually surprised by. Happy Valentines Day to all. I've been treating myself to the most amazing vegan fudge in the world. Check out Alison's Gourmet - http://www.allisonsgourment.com - for vegan delights via mail order! I'm all for jumping on the next health challenge.
