Day 2

By Paige | Jun. 28, 2007 | 4 Comments|post a comment

Hi Everyone. Sounds like despite a few technical difficulties, yesterday went well. A few suggestions related to some of your comments:
1. Water

  • Try different brands - it is best to carry a liter bottle througout the day and refill it, and while it sounds odd, some bottle designs may inspire you to drink more
  • Try taking an emergenC packet or Airborne and place it in a liter bottle of water. It will add some flavor and mix it up for you in addition to giving an extra boost of some vitamin C and antioxidants
  • Drink through a straw - I don't know why, but it helps alot of people
  • Try taping a mantra on the bottle (refer to Dr. Emoto's work on water crystals http://www.whatthebleep.com/crystals/)

2. Headache/Energy - It is very common to actually feel worse when you are drinking something as nutrient rich as The Ultimate Meal. Similar to any other type cleanse (even though this is not officially a cleanse) it is flushing the toxins out of your body which is why you may feel worse. This feeling usually subsides by day three. If however you continue to not feel well it could be an allergy or sensitivity. In that case stop taking the ultimate meal and see your doctor. And of course, the cosmic shift is a very valid reason as well:-) Check out the "cosmic calendar": http://astrology.yahoo.com/astrology/

Keep up the good work!

Soul Spark of the day
It is simple - we are where we should be doing what we should be doing.  Otherwise we would be somewhere else doing something else.  ~Richard Stein

Lighten Up!

  • Try snacking on some almonds, celery and peanut butter, or carrots and hummus as a snack or drink a cup of tea at that mid-morning or afternoon lull time
  • The people from The Secret documentary will be on Oprah on Thursday.  if you have not seen this, do it now because everyone and their mother (literally) will be talking about it - GET YOUR SECRET ON HERE! www.thesecret.tv

Email check-in (note: you may feel nothing, that is something...take note)
1. How was your energy level throughout the day?
2. Hunger level (did it fill you up? too hard to drink? Hungry an hour
later?)
3. Cravings (how were cravings throughout the day? what were they if any?)
4. Did you drink your eight glasses of water?
5. Are you noticing any changes in your sleep/stress patterns?
6. Are you noticing any physical changes (ie. skin, weight, etc.)

If you look at the Ultimate

If you look at the Ultimate Meal website, they actually recommend CHEWING the drink. Way to be the over achiever, Amy!!! :-)

bananas

Again - another fabulous start to the day. I have found the bigger the banana the better! However, neither my appetite nor cravings have subsided. But I countered the water issue by buying the Cielo "oxygen enriched" liter of water. The first liter was great because of the O2 factor. For liter #2, I added 2 Emergen - C's - multi vitamin formula to filtered water from the fridge (in the same bottle). Strawberry flavored, delicious and nutritious. And like Amy, I was in the flow and the dogs just keep on barking. Life is grand.

Day 2 feedback

Not bad. As I mentioned, I had a both watery and chunky start to the day, but once again got’r’down and tasted fine. On the whole, without getting into too much detail, the only major difference I’ve seen thus far from the UM and/or higher water consumption is that I am experiencing a greater “flow” to my day…if you catch my meaning…and I think you do. 1. How was your energy level throughout the day? Solid. Will wait to see effect in next couple of days to make sure it isn’t just placebo effect, but am happy with energy thus far. 2. Hunger level (did it fill you up? too hard to drink? Hungry an hour later?) Was SUPER hungry at lunch, but not really so much before that. 3. Cravings (how were cravings throughout the day? what were they if any?) None. Good to go. 4. Did you drink your eight glasses of water? No…will try the new bottle style thing as soon as I can get to the store. 5. Are you noticing any changes in your sleep/stress patterns? Not yet. Slept well last night though. 6. Are you noticing any physical changes (ie. skin, weight, etc.) Too soon to tell.
