It's great to see naturalpath.com well on its way, and to keep the momentum going, let me start my blog entry.
I'm plugging away in Philadelphia studying urban planning and determining how we can build healthier cities + thinking about healthy living. Certainly being back in graduate design school, pulling all nighters in studio, and being almost always sleep deprived would seem to be at odds with "green health." But the question is can we live healthy and hectic lives? Well, that's what I'll be blogging about here.
So far, general physical health + mental sanity maintained with regular morning trips to the gym at least 3-4 times/week including spinning classes twice per week. Outdoor exercise is pretty much out here in Philly during the winter, and even during the warmer months outdoor opportunities are much more limited than on the West Coast. Food - an even greater challenge. With a plethora of fantastic local farmers, you'd think healthy eating would be easy, but it's not. Erratic schedules and limited proximate healthy markets make for a challenging eating scenario.
Anyway, it's now 11.30p and I need to get back to design work. Stay tuned for more thoughts on healthy living, sleep deprivation, and designing healthy cities.
