For the last wight months I have had a problem with my shoulder - it has been sore and inflamed and I have been to a number of types of practitioners to try to heal it. The following is a record of my experience with different types of practitioners and how different treatments have affected my shoulder.
Seven months ago, in the midst of a move, I injured my right shoulder. It was a sharp pain and a soreness that I assumed would take a few days to recover from, but, after a few weeks, I realized that the pain was not going away and in fact seemed to be getting worse.
My range of motion was affected pretty severely, and I had trouble lifting my arm over my head and bending my arm behind my back. I usually do a variety of different exercises for my upper body - from swimming to pushups and some weights, but the shoulder injury was prohibiting me from doing any of them (I tried and my shouler seemed to get even more inflamed). So I decided to seek treatment, starting with a local chiropractor and applied kinesiologist.
