If Batman commuted to work everyday, I imagine he would do it in a souped-up version of this concept from the Technical University of Berlin. Called CLEVER (Compact Low Emissions Vehicle for Urban Transport — wait, that makes no sense…), this eco-friendly one-seater is capable of going 62 mph with a range of about 125 miles all the while emitting less than 60 g/km of CO2.
Sadly, like most things worth drooling over, this green beauty is only a prototype. There’s no word on whether it would come to the market — or even make it to North America. From the article,
“The car, though, tilts into turns for better cornering, like a motorcycle. The difference is that the tilting is controlled by the car’s computer systems rather than the driver. And it runs on compressed natural gas, similar to many household appliances. The fuel consumption is equivalent to 108 miles per gallon, roughly the same as some tinkerers are getting with modified hybrid cars.”
