While Hanukkah certainly does not compare to the religious important of Christmas, nonetheless it is a time of celebration and festivities. Yes, I meant "religious

Yes, I meant "religious importance." As I recall from my schooling at Temple Israel, I believe it is Yom kippur, Passover and Sukkot that are equivalent to what christmas represents - but hey, I'm just a "holiday jew":-)
